Limits Are Off Limits
Happy 2020!
Hope you’re all starting this new year right-with the right mindset and the right attitude. If you have that down then half the battle is won. Remember to stay focused and on track with whatever goals you have set to reach this year. It’s easy to get complacent and lose enthusiasm with time but it takes so much determination and will-power to push through the distractions and challenges life throws at us. There are no limits to what you can accomplish with the will of God on your side. What is your heart’s desire? Maybe you want to go back to school and get that degree, then do it. Go to your local community college or university, do your research, fill out the application, apply for scholarships, see an advisor. Perhaps this year you want to purchase a house. Make sure your finances are aligned, speak to a realtor, begin house-hunting. Start that business, get your youtube channel up, begin to blog, record that album, write that book, begin that podcast…. whatever is inside of you wants to come out.. This year!
There are no limits
to what you can accomplish with the will of God on your side.
The only person limiting you is you. Now a days we have so many resources, so it’s not the lack of, it’s the unwillingness. Take a stance, once and for all and say “limits are off limits”, I am going to live courageously, fearless, and limitless. The definition of limitless is without end, limit or boundary. Just when you think you’re at your end’s rope, God says.. no baby, this is just the beginning! This reminds me of Elijah in 1 King 19 when he runs away from Jezebel after one of his greatest victories. The bible says he was afraid and ran for his life because this woman wanted him dead. He says in verse 4 and says to the Lord, “I have had enough…” Is that you today? Have you had enough? You think there’s nothing left in you? This is what God’s angel told Elijah… get up and eat. And he repeats the same thing in verse 7 saying “get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you”. The Word said that Elijah was strengthen by the food and continued on his journey for another forty days and 40 nights until he reached his destination. Why do I say this? Because maybe 2019 didn’t end well but God is telling you through this blog, get up and eat.. be strengthen by the Word of God, get that umph back, dig in deeper and keep moving because your journey is not done. You still have ways to go. If God is on your side, you have all you need. He will equip you, He will provide the finances, resources and influence you need to take that God-dream and bring it into existence.
And today I’m so pumped to share with you guys a friend who is truly limitless. She’s a little firecracker and so fired up for the things of God. And through this blog interview, I know you will be encouraged and inspired to take the limits off of whatever is holding you back. Without further ado, let’s get to it.
1- Who is Marsha Martinez?
I was born and raised in Bronx, New York. Thankfully I grew up in church and that is all that I really know. I moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida when I was about 11 years old and as I grew older I began to be more involved in ministry from being a Sunday school teacher, to mentoring the youth. I would help out in any area in each ministry whereI could. At the age of 17 I preached my first sermon called “God is in Control.” I never knew that God had given me this gift to preach HIS word. Fast forward to now, I am happily married with my husband whom everybody calls “Chino.” We have been married for almost 4 years. We are both Congregational Care Pastors at The Outside Church in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. We love and serve, that’s what God has called us to do!
2- What is Limitless Monday?
Limitless Monday is when I go live on social media platforms such as Instagram or Facebook to share a word that God has placed in my spirit. Why Limitless? The word itself is a declaration! I wanted my viewers to feel that they are LIMITLESS in Christ. Why Monday? Monday is normally the toughest day of the week for a lot of people. However, I wanted to create a platform where I can give a sense of encouragement to people out there on what might be their toughest day of the week. It was designed to give a word of HOPE, LOVE, PEACE etc. in times where this world may be at its worst.
3- How did this vision come about?
Every time I get asked this question; I begin to tear up. This vision came about in one of my worst and darkest moments of my life. In that specific season, I was going through a lot ministry-wise and in my spiritual life; I felt discouraged, unworthy, and helplessness. I was ready to give up, throw in the towel, and be done with everything. I felt so unworthy of preaching or doing anything in ministry; to the point where I didn’t want to get out of bed… BUT GOD. I thank Him for giving me such an amazing and supportive husband who spoke life into me in my darkest times. For my birthday that year; he bought me a ring light and a backdrop and he said, “You are going to continue to preach, even if it’s on social media!” On October 15, 2019 I did my first Limitless Monday and I haven’t stopped since.
4- What else can we expect from you in this New Year, new decade?
Well, I believe 2020 is going to be a POWERFUL & MEMORABLE YEAR! Limitless Monday will still continue, of course! You can expect special guests, more prayer nights, and current hot topics amongst other things. Limitless Monday will be uploaded on YouTube as well! As far as everything else; traveling more is definitely on my bucket list for both leisure and ministry. And to be honest, I am just enjoying this ride called life and yielding into what God wants for my life!
5- What words of encouragement can you give someone who has a vision, a dream, a goal inside but doesn’t quite know how to achieve it!
Just do it! Some people want to have everything in order; every piece to the puzzle in place for them to start…. Just start! The bible says that faith without works is dead. How can you practice your faith when you have everything to start your goal, vision, and dream? Start with what you know and the talent or gift that God has given you. Secondly, do research! Knowledge is power! Learn more about your craft! Third, surround yourself with people that will push you, motivate you, and will believe in YOU. Your circle is everything!
